Check Updated Bus Routes

Wake County Public Schools first day for traditional calendar schools is Monday, August 27, 2012. As a result many bus routes may have been updated. According to Transportation, bus routes may be continually updated throughout this weekend.

There are two steps you must take to check updates for your child. First, open Bus Routes as posted under Important Links, and locate the bus your child currently rides by address.

Second, check for updates by comparing your address to the updated Bus Routes found via the link provided below. Please note changes by using the following URL/address by clicking on it, or by copying and pasting it into your web browser:

Many bus routes have not changed, for example: Olive Chapel Rt 1 address-Olive Chapel Rd & Spring Arbor Ct has not changed as of 12:20 pm Sunday August 26. It is still Route 1.

But others have, and you will need to go to Bus Routes under Important Links, find your address and current bus route as noted, then click on or copy and paste the following: http://www.wcpss.net/school-directory/bus-routes/523.html and locate your address among the new routes that have been added to see if there are changes.

For example: Scott's Ridge Trail & Forestcrest Ct was Olive Chapel, Rt 2, but is now Olive Chapel Rt 15 as noted in the updates as of 11:17 am on Saturday August 25.(Current as of 12:11 pm Sunday August 26). Since updates may occur throughout this weekend it is important you check this more than once.
