Kindergarten Roundup - Thursday, February 2

If you have child who turns five before August 31, 2012, it's time to register for Kindergarten. Please join us on Thursday, February 2nd for Kindergarten Roundup!

Registration and school tours will take place from 9:30-11:30am and 1:00-3:00pm. Please visit this link for information about the registration process. For information regarding the school choice plan for student assignment, please visit http://assignment.wcpss.net.

Guided Tours and Registration

Are you or someone you know considering OCE as your school choice for 2012-13? Join us for a guided school tour. Tours will be conducted regularly every Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:30 and every Thursday afternoon from 1:00-3:00.

Registration hours for 2012-13 will be from 9:30-11:30am and 1:00-3:00pm every Monday through Friday. Registration packets, however, may be picked up any time during school office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:00).

PTA presents $6,000 in Technology to staff

It was Oprah's Favorite Things - OCE style - last week at our early release. Many of you who attended the chorus concert learned that the PTA had agreed to donate the first $6,000 to the school to begin purchasing new technology for our classrooms. What you (and our teachers) didn't know was that the money had already been spent and the equipment was already in the building.

Library Volunteers needed

Thanks to everyone for coming out for the Book Fair. We had a great turnout and all our success is due to the hard work of our many volunteers. The Media Center will be back to full library operations beginning on November 21. We'll be looking for shelving help and guest readers again. With the amazing support of our school community, we have been able to continue and even expand services to our young readers.

Volunteer Re-activation ends Monday, October 31

Reactivation for volunteers initially approved in 2010-11 will end on Monday, October 31st. After that, volunteer registration will only be open on Mondays and then, only to new volunteers. Read more here.
